Karen hit a hole-in-one on the 17th hole at RiverCrest Golf Club and Preserve on Sunday, April 14. She swung a perfect 7-iron shot 114 yards and the ball hit directly in front of the cup and rolled right in. There were quite a few people watching at the moment, and they all broke into cheers and applause. There was our foursome, a foursome on an adjacent hole, and two guys who had come over a hill to look for an errant shot. After the round, we adjourned to the clubhouse, where everyone was in outstanding spirit (the free drinks didn’t hurt that).
Karen is a very good golfer, and plays for RiverCrest women’s GAP team, and to date has won every match she has played. I expect that this will not be her last hole-in-one.
